As the hourly Floor Manager of Osteria La Buca you are tasked with supporting the General Manager in leading the day to day operations, supporting and training the hospitality staff, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The hourly Floor Manager will be trained in every aspect of the restaurant operations to ensure service is always on point even when the General Manager is not on location. We don’t believe our managers to be “the bosses” but rather true leaders. We believe in true hospitality, honesty, and integrity. Skills Required
-Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
-Proper wine knowledge and wine serving techniques
-Extensive food handling experience. OLB is not a traditional fine dining restaurant but we aim to serve at the highest level of professionalism in the hospitality field
-POS and iPad knowledge
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or restaurant setting is required
-Basic Excel or Google Sheets knowledge
-POS backend knowledge in scheduling, time sheets, tip reporting, labor reports
Duties
-Fulfilling a 40-50 hour work week
-Full training in all hospitality roles including Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, and Bussers
-Lead the hospitality team in daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
-Mentor and develop a passionate, dedicated, and diligent guest-focused team
-Ensure compliance with Osteria La Buca policies and procedures
-Establish and maintain an exceptional and impactful rapport with staff and guests
-Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
-Assist all hospitality roles during and after service
-Assisting/leading in opening and closing of the restaurant.
-Weekly and daily reporting of labor, tips, and service rundowns
-Creating and publishing FOH schedules
-Aid Kitchen Management in maintaining an A Grade from the Health Department, while also ensuring food comes out in a timely manner and inline with quality, portion and appearance of Buca menu items.
