We are looking for a skilled Class A Flatbed Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle (flatbed) to transport goods and materials to various destinations.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate e-logs of driving hours and vehicle service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Majority Local, must be willing to go OTR occasionally.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Class A Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to secure loads using appropriate methods (e.g., tarps, straps, chains).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and securing loads.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and holidays if needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Flatbeds, Step Decks, Stretch Trailers, etc.
• Familiarity with hauling steel pipe, construction materials, etc.
