Lakeshore’s Employee Experience Team is growing, and we are currently searching for a dynamic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to deploy and align business objectives and people strategy with our employees and leadership in designated business units with a high level of autonomy and in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Reporting to our Director of HRBP, you will create partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives. A day on the job looks like this:
- Partner daily with leaders in designated business functions to create and execute on the talent strategy for their teams – org structure, change management, hiring, recognition, and engagement.
- Coach leaders to be their best for their team and the company to achieve thoughtful and meaningful results for both. This includes providing day-to-day performance management guidance to business management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions) including working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, skillset and retention.
- Engage in team and 1:1 meetings as a change partner and business partner, providing insights into interpersonal dynamics, talent trends, culture and solutions designed to get the best from everyone inside those organizations.
- Champion the deployment of HR initiatives developed by HR COEs including Total Rewards, DEIB, Ops/HRIS, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Communications to designated business units to ensure successful implementation and continual feedback loop including recommendations for enhancements.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations team to ensure equity and thoroughness.
- Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance. Partnering with the legal department and internal HR team as needed including providing HR policy guidance.
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
- 4+ years’ experience in an HRBP or similar HR role, working with leaders at all levels of the organization including C-suite.
- Ability to explain the business model of your company along with the challenge and opportunities it faces.
- Ability to provide specific examples about your role in solving a business challenge and a working knowledge of change management practices and examples of change you’ve been a part of creating and implementing. You must be highly engaged in the business you’re supporting and understand what levers to pull to achieve results and build strong, productive relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and help others do the same along with a demonstrated ability to take data and turn it into useful information; an aptitude for analyzing data and finding the story behind the numbers and facts.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Resourceful, self-motivated and ability to operate with a high-level of autonomy in changing and fast-paced environments where you will exert your influence and make sound recommendations that help to drive the business forward. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- High-level of business acumen coupled with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and the administrative practices related to those factors.
