About the Role:
The Housing Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting residents' successful reentry by addressing their needs and providing access to essential resources. This position requires a dedicated professional who is compassionate, highly organized, and committed to fostering a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Resident Support and Intake:
- Conduct comprehensive intakes to assess the needs of incoming residents.
- Provide linkages to services and support systems to meet identified needs.
- Connect residents with other ANWOL programs, such as Workforce Development, Education, and Family Reunification.
- Life Documents and Assistance:
- Assist residents in obtaining essential life documents (e.g., ID, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate).
- Support residents in securing public assistance.
- Home Supervision:
- Ensure ANWOL homes are clean, safe, and drug- and alcohol-free.
- Maintain inventory and replenish supplies (e.g., food, cleaning products).
- Monitor emergency preparedness and safety standards.
- Meal and Menu Management:
- Oversee menu planning and meal preparation.
- Procure food and maintain proper care and storage of food supplies.
- Resident Engagement:
- Facilitate regular meetings with residents to encourage communication and resolve issues.
- Act as an advocate for residents in judicial, community, social service, and administrative settings when necessary.
- Property Management:
- Monitor property repairs and place orders as needed.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of intake and progress notes.
- Balance direct service responsibilities with detailed and timely documentation.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Housing Supervisor or leadership.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of the population being served and knowledge of recovery processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and organizational acumen.
- Valid California driver’s license, vehicle, and auto insurance coverage.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Strong active listening and crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
