Full Time Legal Assistant to assist current Law Clerk (West Los Angeles)

Compensation: $19 - $24 per hr. (Depending on work experience)

West side law office seeks a full time organized, reliable, and Spanish Bilingual Legal Assistant with 6 months to 4 years experience, to work alongside and as assistant to current Law Clerk, to run and support the firm and its attorneys.

This is a fun yet professional office environment with the opportunity to learn and grow.

Job Duties Include:

• Answering Phones/taking messages;
• Organizing Client Files;
• Interaction with clients and attorneys;
• Calendaring deadlines, hearings, etc.;
• Typing hand written work and properly formatting on Word/Word Perfect;
• Check and proofread legal forms and documents for accuracy;
• Draft correspondence;
• Scan/Print documents and
• Assist Current Paralegal and Attorneys with tasks/projects as needed.

Experience:
• Minimum Requirement: 6 months working at a law firm as legal assistant/paralegal

Following Skills are Preferred:
• Familiarity with legal terms and legal process;
• Prior Experience in Civil Litigation, Family law and/or Personal Injury Practice;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and similar programs;
• Experience using a PC/Windows Desktop;
• Punctuality;
• Excellent Time Management, Organizational & Communication skills.
