Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Construction Driver to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this position include transporting heavy equipment, machinery and construction materials between the yard and various job sites. When driving tasks are not available, the driver will take on various yard duties such as organizing equipment, yard clean-up, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle to transport heavy equipment and machinery to and from job sites and the yard.
• Haul and deliver construction materials as required.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery are secured properly before transporting.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard when not performing driving tasks, which includes removing debris and ensuring the area remains safe and organized.
• Organize yard equipment and ensure it is easily accessible.
• Perform routine inventory checks and help maintain accurate records of equipment and materials.
• Comply with safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the yard.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Valid Class A CDL
• High School Diploma
• Proven experience operating heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and driving laws
• Ability to understand directions and time urgency of tasks
• Have strong communication, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Work Environment:
• Driving trips to vendors, jobsites and yard while operating company truck
• Walking around the yard to perform yard duties
• Daily phone and in person contact with Superintendent, Estimators and others
• Frequent interruptions, noise from equipment and abrupt changes in plans
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and tools.
