Powell's Books, the nation's top independent bookseller, is looking for a Director of Marketing.
The Director of Marketing is accountable for corporate marketing functions and processes, developing and executing strategies that support Powell’s Books’ business objectives in alignment with the company’s strategic plan. This role focuses on developing strategic marketing initiatives while strengthening brand equity that deepens customer affinity and drives sales growth. Responsibilities include planning, implementation, performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis of marketing efforts geared toward customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. The Director of Marketing leads a high-performing marketing team through coaching, feedback, and goal setting.
The position has an office at our Industrial warehouse as well as the ability to work from home. While the position is a hybrid of remote and onsite, Oregon residency is required.
The regular schedule will be Monday through Friday, business hours, with occasional need to flex hours. This position is Full-time/exempt/salaried.
Compensation is $118k - $135k per year, depending on experience.
