Specialist IS Engagement ManagerWhat you will doLet's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will be accountable for engagement, education and communications with the global architecture community, the management of the Enterprise Architecture Review Board and the management of the Enterprise Architecture technical libraries. This role provides support and cohesion across all Enterprise Architecture practices, ensuring our stakeholders can understand and implement our City Planning principles and practices, and our engagement with the broader technical community at Amgen is effective.
Key Responsibilities Engagement & Communication - Develop and manage communication campaigns leveraging tools like SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Create high-impact digital materials, including PowerPoint presentations, eCards, lookbooks, memos, SharePoint sites, and newsletters, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead internal branding efforts by producing talent retention materials, onboarding resources, and career development guides tailored to the Enterprise Architecture team.
- Curate and manage content for internal social channels to promote Enterprise Architecture milestones, updates, and events.
Technical Enablement - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and developers to translate technical concepts into digestible and visually engaging formats.
- Organize and run or facilitate internal forums, and workshops to showcase Enterprise Architecture projects and their value to the organization.
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance content creation, visual storytelling, and communication efficiency.
Business Analysis & Process Improvement - Gather and analyze business requirements to identify key communication needs and translate them into actionable project documentation.
- Map business processes and synthesize findings into technical tasks for delivery teams.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of objectives and deliverables.
Collaboration & Team Support - Partner with HR and leadership to design and execute strategies for employee engagement, talent development, and retention within Enterprise Architecture and within the roles we govern (IT App Owners, Service Owners).
- Build relationships across departments to align communication strategies with organizational priorities.
Required Skills:Technical Expertise: Proficient in SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (with exceptional PowerPoint skills).
Communication Skills: Skilled in creating engaging digital media content, presentations, memos that are tailored to diverse audiences.
Business Analysis: Ability to gather requirements, understand business processes, and document actionable tasks.
AI Integration: Experienced in leveraging AI for content creation and communication efficiency (e.g., generating images, automating repetitive tasks).
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of enterprise architecture experience
Or
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of enterprise architecture experience
Or
Associate's degree and 8 years of enterprise architecture experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of enterprise architecture experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Minimum of 2 years management experience in Fortune 500, global companies
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in agile methodologies, including Product Teams and Product Development models
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and with peers
- Ability to self-start and effectively operate within a complex and dynamic environment
- Experience managing technical colleagues, directing conversations and keeping teams on task
- Experience in internal marketing and communications within a large, organization.
- Experience and/or knowledge of talent development and employee engagement strategies.
- Experience leading, designing and implementing business processes and change agent networks
- Demonstrated ability to understand, and establish approval process for new technology, products and programs
- Required strong writing skills to write, prioritize and publish internally relevant information
- Bonus: Experience with ServiceNow
- Domestic travel up to 10% may be required in the future

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
