Job SummaryThe paralegal will primarily support members of our in-house legal team who service the real estate and hospitality sectors of our business. From time to time, the paralegal may also assist with the gaming sector.
Real Estate
- Collaborate with Development and Construction staff to facilitate real estate development projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Assist with creating and maintaining project files and closing binders.
- Assist in reviewing, assembling, finalizing, and maintaining contract documents.
- Assist in the collection, review and filing of due diligence reports and analysis.
- Assist with the collection and review of vendors' insurance documents and licenses.
- Assist in the collection, review and filing of certificates of insurance and other maintenance contracts required by Tenant leases.
- Prepare lease abstracts and track key dates in the leases.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance request with the Facilities' team.
- Assist with collection efforts including sending out notices of default, evictions, and garnishments.
- Assist with obtaining estoppel certificates and SNDAs and applicable coordination with key stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain checklists for commercial real estate closings.
- Draft and negotiate NDAs.
- Form corporations and draft form corporate documents for closings, such as authorizing resolutions and incumbency certificates.
Hospitality
- Conduct initial research for CFO and General Counsel on state and local business registration and permitting requirements.
- Oversee state and local business registration and permit application and renewal processes.
- Conduct initial research for General Counsel on state and local requirements governing liquor licensing, amusements, contests, and sweepstakes.
- Compile information necessary to complete liquor license applications and renewals.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure liquor licenses are secured in advance of new store openings.
- Draft rules governing contests and sweepstakes.
- Review internal reports and/or demand letters concerning personal injury claims.
- Conduct initial investigation of personal injury claims by speaking with witnesses and gathering relevant documents.
- Provide General Counsel with billing/invoice processing support and report new claims to insurance carriers.
Skills and Educational Requirements- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an in-house or law firm paralegal required.
- Must have large firm experience.
- Experience with lease documentation, lease tracking, drafting and negotiating lease documents, and handling due diligence requirements of acquisitions, dispositions, and financings strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and work within deadlines to meet common business goals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is 85,000 - 95,000 annually. Eligible employees are entitled to a
