We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of diverse commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. To be considered, candidates must possess commercial experience, as residential experience alone does not meet the requirements for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
• Ensure project plans progress to meet anticipated deadlines
• Send project “notice to proceed” awards to all of the subs
• Manage the RFI (Request for Information) and submittal process
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and resolve technical issues
• Oversight of superintends daily logs (including safety logs), reports, submittals, sub lists, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and closeout procedures
• Strong focus on assigned work, ability to drive work forward, and do what it takes to ensure overall business success
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies under the guidance of senior team members
Position Requirements:
• A combination of education and experience in a relevant field (e.g., technical or trade school in Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or engineering
• Strong understanding of plans and schematics
• Practical written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous experience in commercial construction projects
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; working knowledge of Procore and BuildingConnected is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive pay based on experience between $65,000 to $80,000
