We seek a dedicated and compassionate **Weekend Coach** to assist an individual in a wheelchair at their weekend job near the Portland Airport. This role is vital to ensuring the success and independence of the participant in their workplace. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with mobility challenges and a strong commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support tailored to the participant's needs, ensuring a safe, accessible, and supportive environment.
- Mentor and guide the participant to help them navigate workplace tasks and overcome challenges.
- Collaborate with workplace staff and community resources to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate regularly with relevant stakeholders.
- Stay updated on best practices for supporting individuals with disabilities, including compliance with labor and accessibility laws.
- Be able to assist him from his wheelchair and guide him to another chair when needed.
Experience and Skills
- experience in coaching and mentoring is pleasant but not necessary.
- supporting individuals with disabilities, especially those with mobility challenges.
- Background in social work, vocational rehabilitation, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in diverse environments.

- Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
- Expected Hours: 16 hours per week
- **Schedule:**
- 8-hour shifts 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Morning shifts every weekend
