Position Summary Plan, direct, organizes and executes the delivery of Information Services and Telecommunication for a single campus. Direct activities in the areas of technical services, application development and support, and telecommunications within Information Services (IS), including Corporate IS staff shared among MHS facilities. Work with campus leadership to help shape general business strategy, particularly as it relates to and integrates with the use of information technology (IT). Support the CIO by aligning operations across multiple entities, providing advice on IT issues, developing standard practices, and developing IT strategy. Quickly, decisively and correctly SOLVE PROBLEMS inherent in a complex technical environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job • The Executive Director of Information Services is responsible for the general strategy, management, and operations of Information Services and Telecommunications for the Medical Center.
• The Executive Director ensures that the various systems and data, key assets of the Medical Center, are well integrated and that appropriate technologies are exploited to achieve competitive advantage.
• The Executive Director helps shape general business strategy, particularly as it relates to the opportunities associated with computing systems and information in electronic form.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications Qualifications - External Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience: - Ten to fifteen years of Information Services management experience with day to day management of the following areas; Computer Operations, PC Support, Help desk Support, Networking, and Systems & Programming preferably in a Healthcare related environment.
Education/Licensure/Certification: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
