About the job General Manager of Catering Operations

Between Manhattan and NJ the facilities total in over 30,000 sq ft. Our attention to detail and customer service and grown to serving over 1,000 customers daily. Our clients include (but are not limited to) Fortune 500 corporations, fashion houses, weddings, universities and historic venues. It is an exciting time as we are expanding our Tri-State presence!
JOB REQUIREMENTS (include, but limited to):
- Oversee catering dispatch team (15 people)
- Foster a relationship and communication with the kitchen team
- Ensure catering orders are properly packed and delivered timely
- Oversee quality of food before it is packed
- Oversee building code requirements and troubleshoot any building maintenance issues
- Manage day-of changes and troubleshoot delivery and packing problems
- Enforce policies and procedures (ie dress code, health code, cleanliness)
- Optimize the procedures based on how large the team (and # orders) grows
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over 4 Years of Food/Beverage or Hospitality Experience
- Preferably OFF-PREMISES CATERING EXPERIENCE
- Team-player attitude
- Multitasking and take initiative in troubleshooting in a high-paced environment
- Excellent written, verbal and computer skills
- Attention to detail and organization
- Excellent customer service/customer relations
