VSHN CanadaVSHN Canada, based in Vancouver, BC, is a subsidiary of VSHN AG Zurich, Switzerland. Our mission is to design, set up, and maintain managed Cloud Kubernetes solutions for our customers in Europe. We also support the various teams at VSHN with maintenance work, change rollouts, and other tasks where we can leverage the different time zones.
Your new role: Kubernetes DevOps EngineerYou'll be part of our Cloud Kubernetes Team. Your primary role will involve engineering and maintaining our Managed Kubernetes solutions and operational clusters. You'll engage in requirements engineering, develop new services, and enhance existing ones. The role includes handling incidents, customer tickets, debugging, communication, and follow-ups to resolve root causes in collaboration with our teams in Switzerland.
Responsibilities summarized- Design, build, and maintain solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Further develop our Managed Cloud Kubernetes solutions.
- Onboard and integrate projects for new customer solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing cloud solutions.
- Resolve incidents and support customers for cloud and Kubernetes services.
- Identify and address potential bugs in Kubernetes services.
- Perform maintenance and handle incidents on Managed Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux Servers, and Cloud Services.

This job is for you ifYou have- A solid understanding and experience operating Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience with one or more of the following hyperscalers: AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Knowledge of running Linux-based services.
- Know-how of Terraform (or similar Infrastructure-as-Code technologies).
- A solid understanding of version control (git).
- A structured but pragmatic working and documentation approach.
- Proficiency in English.
- The ability to join the on-call rotation after your onboarding.
- The ability to identify and execute tasks independently.
