Job Description
• Prepare menu items and necessary ingredients according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests and presentations
• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Follow food handling and sanitization standards.
• Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each table. Communicate any food delays or issues to Chefs.
• Maintain menu item counts and communicate to management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity.
• Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions.
• Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers and communicate repair and maintenance needs to Chef or manager.
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, ensure recipes are thoroughly followed.
• Efficiently run your station during the shift, assist with other stations if floating. Ensure work station is clean and organized at all times.
• Be a team player and able to interact with all levels within the organization.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Setup and break down line and check out with chef at end of shift.

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
