KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Student Supervision & Discipline: Manage, discipline, and supervise approximately 8 students to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
*Homework Assistance: Provide individualized homework help and ensure accurate corrections.
*Supplemental Learning: Distribute and correct Math and English packets using the center's materials to reinforce student understanding.
*Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of packet scores and completion for each student.
*Classroom Environment: Keep the classroom clean, organized, and conducive to learning.
*Progress Monitoring: Prepare and distribute bi-weekly progress reports to track student achievements and areas for improvement.
*Parent Communication: Communicate with parents on an as-needed basis to address student progress and concerns.
*Recreational Supervision: Oversee students during recreational periods to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
*Staff Participation: Attend all staff training sessions and meetings to support professional growth and program success.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should possess the following attributes:
+ Able to work a minimum of 3 days a week (5 days preferred) from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm (earlier on Wednesdays).
+ College graduate or enrolled; GPA of 3.0 or higher; Child Development or Education major is a plus.
+ Experience working with and managing school-age students considered a plus.
+ Able to pass a background check.
+ Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Knowledge and mastery of Kindergarten - 8th grade English (Reading Comprehension, Language Arts, Spelling & Grammar), Math, Social Studies, and Science (resource materials are provided).
+ Possesses a valid and current CA driver’s license, auto insurance, and social security card.
+ Owns a reliable method of transportation.
+ Responsible, punctual, organized, positive, diligent, and patient.
+ Must enjoy working with children.
