Overview:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting and Payroll Administrator at Computers and Structures, Inc. located in Walnut Creek, CA. The Accounting and Payroll Administrator will be responsible for payroll administration, payroll taxes, employee benefits, and accounting. This is a self-driven role where you must work independently most of the time, reporting directly to the CFO, Executive Vice President and President. You will also interface with outside agencies to ensure that all employee benefits are executed. You will process AP, AR, and Payroll, working through the general ledger for proper reporting to an outside CPA firm. You will also support various office and administrative needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 10+ years experience as Senior Staff Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper. Additional experience can count toward education. Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite, Quickbooks, and ADP Workforce Now highly desired. Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations highly desired.

General Accounting:
· Reconcile and balance bank accounts on a daily basis, manage cashflow, oversee bank deposits, and perform G.L. analysis
· Assist CFO with monthly bank reconciliation and enter brokerage account activity
· Work with outside CPA firm to ensure proper EOQ and EOY financial reporting
· Process various state sales and use tax returns (17 states) and file state registrations
· Prepare for and participate in periodic tax audits
· Process AP (outgoing checks and wires (~70 checks and ~50 wires or other electronic payments per month)
· Handle accounts receivable, including collections (~300 invoices per month)
· Apply all received funds to open invoices (including foreign funds) and create customer deposits and journal entries as needed
Payroll, Benefits and HR:
· Process, administer and balance payroll and 401k (~45 employees)
· Administer and update medical, dental, disability, and other various insurance policies
· Produce 1099s
· Provide new hire and payroll paperwork to new employees, as well as exit paperwork
· Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits- and payroll-related questions
· Administer various insurance policies and participate in periodic insurance audits and renewals
Miscellaneous:
· Request annual US Residency Certificates
· Renew US government purchasing privileges each year (SAM)
· Assist with general office administration and the occasional ordering of promotional items and office supplies.
