Our company is growing! We are looking to expand our construction crews to meet the high demand for our services. With 10 years in the construction business, we are a long-term stable company that operates year-round. We are a civil sitework contractor, and we are looking for qualified applicants who are reliable and have a good work ethic and have experience in heavy equipment operating for current and upcoming construction projects. Base skillset should ideally include mass/rough grading, finish grading for base rock, underground utility trench excavation/back filling, compaction. We need Operators that are very strong on excavators, experience with dump trucks, roller compactors and water trucks. Attention to safety and communications skills are a must.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to follow directions, daily procedures, and protocols
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing conditions and stay on task
- Ability to manage small to medium size crews
- Report all damages occurring during the shift to the supervisor
- Operating on hillsides
- Operating excavators with a drill motor
We work primarily on non-union private commercial projects usually within a 50–75-mile radius of San Rafael. Compensation will depend on experience and competency with multiple types of equipment. Expect to work a 2-3 day (paid) "probation period" so we can evaluate field competence before we offer a full-time position.
