We have a great opportunity for an experienced Compliance Analyst that manages and supports a variety of activities and projects in support of OAG’s compliance program. This will be a hybrid position once candidate is fully up to speed.
Compliance Support:
-Manages OAG’s program for handling billing record requests in coordination with the Privacy Officer, including reviewing and responding to requests via phone or email and issuing invoices when appropriate.
-Serves as Committee scribe for the Billing Compliance Committee, consistent with corporate expectations. Provides additional administrative support to the Physician Billing Compliance Officer upon request.
-Assists Compliance and Privacy Officer in coordinating and drafting a variety of internal and external compliance audits and reviews. With assistance from Compliance and Privacy Officer, conducts assigned compliance audits and monitoring activities.
-Responsible for selecting, gathering, and tracking medical charts for audits conducted by Physician Billing Compliance Officer.
-Assists Compliance & Privacy Officer in drafting and updating policies and procedures. Maintains official electronic copies of OAG Policies and Procedures, including retention and deletion of retired policies and procedures.
-Assists the Compliance & Privacy Officer in researching compliance topics and drafting courses for compliance training.
-Drafts written communications, including News & Notes articles, department templates and other materials. Maintains accuracy of Compliance Department pages on OAG Connect.
-Conducts OIG/SAM GSA exclusion checks of OAG employees on a monthly basis and vendors on a quarterly basis.
-Responsible for the tracking and communication of anesthesia records deficiencies to OAG physicians and CRNAs. Works with billing vendor to ensure resolution of issues.
-Assists Compliance and Privacy Officer with other Compliance Program projects as assigned.
Access Management:
-Coordinates the provision and tracking of EPIC and other EMR access for non-clinical staff and workforce members.
-Assists the Compliance and Privacy Officer with oversight of electronic funds transport (EFT) portal access and tracking for non-clinical staff and workforce members.
-Assists the Compliance and Privacy Officer with the tracking of workforce members’ role-based access to OAG electronic systems and applications.
General Administrative:
-Provides administrative support to OAG’s Compliance and Privacy Officer, including meeting scheduling, expense report preparation, and other day-to-day support.
-Provides additional assistance with annual meeting processes as requested.
-Handles other projects and provides additional corporate support as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
Experience working in healthcare performing and supporting similar functions is expected. Experience with medical billing, electronic medical records, medical records management, and/or healthcare compliance is strongly preferred. Good experience managing projects start to finish is needed with strong attention to detail.
Education and Skill Requirements:
A two-year college degree in Business or a similar field is desired. Years of experience may be considered equivalent to education. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams is required with ability to quickly learn new software and applications. Must have good verbal and written communication skills along with good phone skills.
