The Front Porch Inn is a charming 16-unit retreat in the heart of Arcata which features a beautiful courtyard oasis with outdoor soaking tubs, living fern walls, custom river rock sauna and outdoor shower. We are currently looking to add one or two part-time cleaners to our team!
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Team Member to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel rooms, outdoor spa amenities, and communal courtyard spaces. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule that varies based on seasonal demand. We pride ourselves on creating a clean, inviting, and relaxing atmosphere for our guests and our awesome cleaning team plays a key role in delivering exceptional experiences!
Key Responsibilities:
Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms after checkouts, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing linens, and replenishing amenities.
Spa Maintenance: Clean and sanitize outdoor tub spaces and sauna, ensuring they are prepared for guest use.
Laundry Duties: Wash, dry, fold, and restock linens and towels.
Detailing Tasks: Perform routine deep-cleaning and detailing tasks as needed to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Stocking Supplies: Replenish cleaning and guest supplies in designated areas.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a smooth workflow and address guest needs.
Schedule:
Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Part-time schedule varies by season:
Slow season: 1–2 shifts per week.
High season: 3–5 shifts per week, based on availability.
Qualifications:
Previous cleaning or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Reliability and punctuality.
Compensation:
Hourly wage starting at $16 during training plus tips. $17/ hour once fully trained with performance-based raises.
We are also open to hiring someone as an independent contractor for on-call work.
