Job Type: Part-Time (up to 30 hours), Tue-Sat 10am-4pm
Job Summary:
The Salon Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth salon operations. This role involves managing appointments, greeting clients, handling payments, and supporting the salon team with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Interaction:
o Greet clients warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming, safe environment.
o Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with client inquiries.
o Educate Clients on Products, Inform Pricing and benefits of Combined Services & Upcoming Events and New Services.
• Appointment Management:
o Schedule, reschedule, and confirm client appointments efficiently.
o Maintain an organized booking system and address scheduling conflicts.
• Administrative Duties:
o Manage the salon's front desk, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
o Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash or credit transactions accurately.
o Collect Payments at time of Service, Manage Cards on File, No-Show and Late Cancel Fees
o Track inventory for retail products and update stock as needed.
o Maintain Up to Date Marketing Materials for Current & New Products/Services.
o Weekly Reports & Daily Front Desk Journal
Current Leases and Current Open Leases
Manage all Social Media Platforms Content & Measures for BBL
• Customer Service
o Assist clients with selecting and purchasing salon products.
o Offer Education on Current & New Services and Products.
o Educate BBL History, Story, “BBL Stands for..”
o Professionally, handle Client Compliments, Comments, and Concerns. Escalating to management when necessary, follow up & Document all Client Feedback.
• Support Salon Team:
o Ensure the waiting area is clean and stocked with beverages.
o Ensure Retail is stocked and offer product materials.
o Coordinate with stylists, technicians, and other team members to maintain a seamless workflow.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience or similar administrative roles is Required.
• Vagaro;
o Proficient in scheduling software and point-of-sale systems.
o Administration a plus, scheduling & payments required.
• Competent & Experienced building Clientele, Creating a Safe Place & Community Minded.
• Strong organizational & communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
The Salon Receptionist is our first point of contact on calls, emails, texts, contact forms & all foot traffic, including walk-ins. Remain customer-focused, modeling the environment’s Client focused standard. This role requires standing, sitting, and interacting with clients, our Stylists & Artists throughout the day. Follow procedures for Laundry, Backbar, Mail, safety while lifting (light), Deliveries, Orders.
