We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Order and Service Department Assistant to join our team. This position will focus on ordering parts for the Service Manager, assisting with the installation of parts when needed, and supporting the service department with additional tasks. Key Responsibilities:
-Order automotive parts and supplies based on the needs of the service department, as directed by the Service Manager.
-Ensure timely and accurate ordering of parts, keeping the service department well-stocked and preventing delays in vehicle repairs.
-Assist the Service Manager in managing and tracking parts orders, including returns and warranty claims.
-Communicate effectively with parts vendors to ensure the timely delivery of parts.
-Assist with the installation of certain parts and accessories.
-Maintain organized records of parts orders and inventory.
-Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
-Ensure all necessary paperwork for parts ordering and installations is completed accurately.
Assist the service manager with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in an automotive parts department or service environment is a plus.
-Basic knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Good communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
-Ability to lift and handle automotive parts safely.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
