SUMMARY: The Marketing Manager provides leadership for community marketing support designed to meet the Bank's growth objectives, primarily by leveraging Central and Divisional tools and campaigns; and leading the planning and execution of community engagement in a purposeful way to build Arvest brand awareness and preference in each community it serves. The incumbent will establish and maintain relationships with key community leaders and achieve a significant presence in the community to promote Arvest Bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Develop, implement, and monitor the results of all local market bank growth and community development objectives. Bank growth objectives should include emphasis on commercial and business banking campaigns. Community development objectives should include coordination of local bank outreach within the community including seminars and educational forums. Consumer growth objectives and programs developed by Central Marketing should be observed to ensure proper execution at the local branch level.
2. In conjunction with the Sales Manager and Central Marketing support, develop an annual plan and budget to support bank growth, brand awareness, and community engagement goals. Plans should be strategic and focus on the areas of sales support, public relations, financial education, and community engagement activities. Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines. Oversee the designated local market budget and ensure expenditures align with strategic marketing objectives.
3. Collaborate with Central Marketing team members on various marketing activities including but not limited to:
a. Developing, supporting, and refining marketing plans, evaluating campaign needs, and delivering global marketing programs within the local market.
b. Identifying local public relations and media opportunities as well as creating and implementing a PR plan for each community to support local bank marketing objectives and assists in developing news releases for distribution within the local market.
c. Identifying and maximizing local opportunities that maximize events as well as in creating an annual sponsorships and event plan for each community that supports both local and Bank Group sponsorship and event objectives.
d. Identifying hyper-local advertising and promotional opportunities that support overall Arvest branding and business objectives.
4. Lead and select local market contributions and support allocation of Arvest Foundation funds. Work with local market leadership to establish a community giving strategy and ensure adherence to all processes and guidelines in giving efforts. Observe and adhere to recognition and public relations guidelines for the Arvest Foundation and the bank.
5. Coordinate regular meetings with local market Senior Leadership to understand the evolving needs of the bank. Communicate progress in achieving bank growth objectives and collaborate with the Regional Marketing Manager on marketing solutions, as needed.
6. Oversee and coordinate customer development events, associate volunteer opportunities, purchase and distribution of premium items, brand merchandising, community social media opportunities, and additional responsibilities as assigned. Based upon local market need, this may include direct supervision of a Community Marketing Specialist in support of these activities.
7. Communicate and serve as information resource for the bank group, regional sales, and community engagement initiatives within the local market. Provide materials including sales support tools and promotional items to ensure that teams have the resources necessary to fulfill sales responsibilities.
8. Prepare and communicate content for communication with bank associates and in Board of Director meetings. Topics may include but are not limited to information on upcoming sponsorships and campaigns, CRA reports, Low to Moderate Income Census Tract (LMICT), and Majority Minority Census Tract (MMCT) tracking and reporting.
9. Actively participate in professional associations and activities within the local market to enhance bank visibility and aid in professional growth within the community. Serve as the primary point of contact for local media at all external events. Foster relationships on behalf of the bank with local media.
10. Identify opportunities for Community Reinvestment ACT (CRA) in the local market. Ensure thorough tracking and reporting for CRA donations and volunteer service hours, including all required documentation.
11. Maintain an expert level of understanding of the Marketing Compliance Resource Guide and utilize this guide for all events and marketing materials. Ensure that materials created by Arvest Marketing are used in the manner intended and are currently compliant. Conduct an annual audit of all compliance-related signage.
12. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May directly supervise marketing associates as assigned by the manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations, and Arvest's BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank's procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field of study or equivalent work or military experience required. Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
• 5 years' experience in marketing, communications or related field with an assigned territory required.
• 2 years' experience in at least two of the following areas required: marketing budgets, campaign planning, public relations and media relations, agency relationship management and/or media planning. Experience in promoting community involvement, leadership groups and non-profits preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sponsorships, public relations, media relations and social media preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Arvest experience preferred.
• Completion of graduate banking school, American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management or Certified Financial Marketing Professional
• (CFMP) designation through American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers preferred.
