Olympia Provisions is looking for a hard working team member with a can do attitude who will learn all aspects of facilities maintenance, including but not limited to high level equipment maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, HVAC, Hydraulics, PLC, and mechanical designs within our manufacturing plant and restaurants. Must be comfortable with power tools and multimeters with a basic understanding of mechanical functions and how things work. Prior experience is not required, but interest to grow in and learn the field is important.
Schedule will vary, availability Monday-Friday is required with some Saturdays or evenings as needed. Expected 24 hours per week.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist in performing diversified duties to help install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the facility’s production equipment and facilities under the guidance of the Head of Facilities & Maintenance.
-Support routine inspections and maintenance of systems to prevent downtime and loss.
-Perform carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs as instructed by the head of maintenance and facilities
-Assist with preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
-Respond to emergency maintenance requests as directed by the head of maintenance, assisting with diagnostics and repairs.
-Follow safety rules and regulations in all work areas and assist in identifying and fixing potential safety hazards.
-Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to support maintenance and service tasks.
-Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
-Assist in managing the stocking and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
-General understanding of mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
-Ability to learn and retain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills including PLC HVAC.
-Proficient in using hand tools and repair equipment.
-Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting items over 75 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and stooping.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Must be a team player who will follow through on tasks as directed in a timely manner

Work Environment:
The job operates in a USDA facility, which includes moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Work may involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or adverse weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
This role is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
