The Intake Customer Care Specialist is responsible for meeting time sensitive service levels for inbound phone calls from client Case Manager Partners while utilizing a data entry portal system to create new client accounts. This Specialist uses critical thinking and time management skills, maintaining the highest level of accuracy for billing and compliance purposes.
This is a fully remote position. Employees must be located in Idaho, Nevada, or Utah (applicants outside of Iowa will not be considered). The starting wage is $16.00/hour ($17.00/hour for bilingual candidates) with weekly pay, PTO, and benefits available after 30 days of employment. Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Mountain Time/7:00am-4:00pm Pacific Time with the potential for overtime.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Handle incoming Care Managers and client calls regarding account statuses inquiries
- Troubleshoot and deescalate callers as needed for account issue resolution
- Occasional follow-up with outbound calls or emails for the purpose of securing correct information needed to start new clients or continue current clients
- Utilization of portal system to create new clients and update existing clients within database system
- Coordinate with internal business partners including but not limited to Intake, Revenue Cycle, Logistics, and Customer Care
- Document all conversations within client information database
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to problem solve issues in a timely manner utilizing various resources as needed
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail for quality purposes
- Excellent communication skills for both verbal and written communications
- Ability to adapt to change frequently based on new policies, processes, and procedures
- Professionalism, self-motivation, reliability, integrity, initiative, and a positive team attitude
- Sincerity and passion for helping people
- Above average computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, ability to learn company client database
- Must have a wired internet connection using an ethernet port. Broadband internet wired to the home is required - Cable Modem/service or Fiber Optic. No Satellite, 4/5G, or DSL circuits
- Must have a quiet workspace that is free from distraction
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Some college experience
- Previous experience working with HIPAA policies and procedures
- 1+ years' previous data entry experience
- 2+ years' previous Customer Service Call Center experience
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
