Our busy coffee cart needs a seasoned part-time barista! with 2-3 shifts per week. Each shift would be 7 am-3:30 pm our hours of operation are 7 am-3 pm Monday- Friday. C
The perfect candidate would be someone with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a barista and coffee shop experience, who is self-motivated. Must be self-motivated and self-managed. The Kiosk operates with 2 staff, the barista takes the orders and makes the drinks and the cook makes the food. The amount of shifts could very easily increase quickly as your skills and reliability are shown. This could be the perfect second job for a restaurant server or a student who takes online classes.
We have an excellent reputation for top-quality food and beverages. Customer experience is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the job. You must be exceptional with people and customer service. This is a sales job wrapped in a barista and more importantly a people-person job. The way people feel when they are treated warmly with a smile, their drink is remembered, and "if you are hungry later our lunch special is...." Is an example of the warm feeling that keeps them coming back, remembering the order they love, and the sales part to bring them back with something new later in the day.
Pay: This position pays $19/hr plus tips. Tips are split between all hourly staff members based on hours worked. All tips are pooled amongst the hourly staff, the tips are added to the paychecks and amount to increasing the hourly to an additional 4-8/hr.
Duties include but are not limited to setting up and opening the coffee shop, improving daily operations and sales focus, executing the menu items as instructed with the opportunity to have creative specials added to the daily special menu, being responsible, punctual, and trustworthy, and Keeping barista station clean and up to the standard of the manager and health department, writing daily specials on the chalk board, daily social media posts (when time allows) Must have a food handler certificate(takes about 30 minutes online).
