What You'll Do: The SVT Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the parts department, ensuring inventory availability, efficient procurement, and excellent customer service. This role involves managing a team, optimizing inventory systems, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to meet operational goals.
Job Duties:
Inventory Control:- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Procurement & Vendor Management:- Source parts from suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts.
Customer Service:- Assist internal teams and customers with parts inquiries and orders.
- Provide accurate pricing and availability information.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Team Leadership:- Supervise, train, and develop parts department staff.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Financial Management:- Develop and manage the parts department budget.
- Track sales and profitability metrics.
- Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Safety and Compliance: - Ensuring that all parts meet safety and regulatory standards, especially in industries where safety is a top concern.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive/diesel technology is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive/Diesel technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.
- Knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and suspension.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- ASE certifications or equivalent are a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Compensation: - $75,000-$90,000 depending on skills and experience
