Your Role as a Caregiver:
As a Caregiver or CNA at Griswold Home Care, your mission is to provide compassionate, non-medical care to seniors in their homes. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to assist seniors with daily living activities, companionship, and personal care. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing and grooming
• Providing companionship and engaging in conversation
• Supporting daily activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
• Helping clients with mobility and transfers
• Observing and reporting on changes in clients' health and well-being
• Documenting care activities and completing shift reports
• Providing support to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments in a respectful and professional manner
• What We Need From You:
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in senior care (preferred but not required)
• Experience or willingness to learn about chronic conditions, including dementia and Alzheimer's
• Ability to complete required training and annual updates
• Active status on the California Home Care Aide Registry or ability to meet registry requirements
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
• Personal Traits:
• Compassionate, reliable, and punctual
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references
