Overview: Oxarc, LLC is seeking a motivated individual that is looking to grow their accounting and finance skills. Initially, the role will be focused on learning and improving the existing Senior Account position. However, this position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the CFO on a variety of projects as the organization works to elevate its financial reporting and analysis.
Summary: Maintains the general ledger accounting system while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial information. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accounted principles.
Duties include:
• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Assists with preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Review and analysis of general ledger accounts.
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
• Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses and with internal control evaluations.
• Prepares financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulatory agencies, or management.
• Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
• Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
• Files tax forms and other reports with various government agencies (e.g., sales tax, 1099s, census reports, property tax assessments).
• Administrator for the 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan.
• Handle wire transfers.
• Maintains state and local business licensing.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of five years’ experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Working knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
• Requires attention to detail. Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
• Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Salary Range: The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $34.00/hr to $37.50/hr--DOE.
