Location
Glendale and surrounding cities. Service area includes Burbank, Hollywood, Los Feliz, Echo Park, Lincoln Heights, Highland Park and Crescenta Valley. This job is hybrid, both virtual and in-person.
Hours
Full-time/ 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible and can require that you work on weekdays and weekends, in mornings, daytime and/or evenings, both remote & in-person.
Compensation
$47,840.00 - $52,000.00 / year

Responsibilities
- Coordinate a range of NAMI mental health programming, including: 1) Support groups, classes and presentations for adult community members, in-person and virtually; 2) Programming for youth and young adults in-person at local middle schools, high schools, colleges and virtually; 3) Outreach initiatives with various partner organizations, such as tabling/ mental health awareness booth at community wellness events.
- Coordination will require fulfillment of multiple tasks such as: 1) Scheduling program leaders, students, volunteers and speakers, both virtually and in-person; 2) Providing logistics such as delivering printed materials; 3) Documenting and reporting markers of program success, such as tracking and reporting attendance and participant testimonials, both virtually and in-person.
- Help recruit current community members to volunteer and to train to become NAMI program leaders, supporting them according to established protocol and in coordination with trainers. On-board new volunteers, as needed, and schedule volunteer shifts, such as at tabling/ outreach events.
- Assist in promoting attendance, memberships and donations by presenting at in-person and virtual events, and contribute to developing marketing materials.
- Communicate clearly and coordinate with various stakeholders while remaining focused on achieving the successful completion of program deliverables as defined by the Board and the Operations Manager.
- Employ interpersonal skills to discern the needs and abilities of participants, volunteers, program leaders and all stakeholders. Be adept at navigating social interactions while representing the organization and communicating with professionalism.
- Be responsible for delivering on deadline, and report both project milestones and final outcomes of programs you lead. Employ excellent time management skills to create your own schedule, organize your calendar and prioritize your to-do list.
Skills required
- Expert use of communication and organizational tools, including MS Office, Google Workspace (Gmail, GoogleDocs, GoogleSheets, GoogleForms and GoogleCalendar).
- Experience coordinating group meetings, one-on-one meetings, and public events using videoconferencing software, Zoom and scheduling software, such as When2meet.
Desirable qualifications
- Community engagement within the service area of NAMI Glendale, including Glendale, Burbank, Eagle Rock, Hollywood, Echo Park, Lincoln Heights, El Sereno, Highland Park.
- Engagement with NAMI programs and/or NAMI Glendale membership.
- Language skills: Spanish, Armenian, Korean, Filipino to enable community engagement.
- Specialty assignments may relate to Community Engagement, Special Presentations, etc.
