We are a Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company from Silicon Valley - Hippo Insurance. Our mission is to revolutionize home insurance in the US, starting from IoT monitoring devices to our industry-leading software.
How do we want to get there? We need a top-notch talent, just like you!
Putting a lot of effort into hiring top-tier professionals is a proof that we care a lot about tech experience, the attitude, human approach, and what we could call „culture fit”.
„SwingDev is all about people” - yes, it may sound a bit cliche. But whether we're writing code or just hanging out, we know that people are at the heart of everything we do. We like to have a good time and keep things light, even when we're tackling big projects. We could brag about what’s making us special, but we’ve boiled it down to two key ingredients: mature, companionable people who, rather than compete, prefer to inspire and have each other’s backs; a culture of trust, empathy, and positivity that keeps us together, lets us interact as teammates and friends, and truly enjoy the ride.
So if you're a Salesforce Developer looking to shake things up while having a good time, you've come to the right place. 🚀
About the role:
The Salesforce Developer position is a part of a small team based in the US. We’re seeking a full-stack developer proficient in both low and pro code (Apex, LWC) to help build Salesforce as the workspace for the Sales and Service agenda, focusing on selling and servicing Hippo products. Since you’ll be cooperating with the team on a daily basis, readiness to work in the US time zone is a must. As a team, we hold Scrum-related meetings (daily, pre-planning, and planning), and after joining you can count on experienced team members for code reviews, unit testing, and TDDs.
Apart from your team, you’ll also have a chance to collaborate with other teams, including Product and Project Managers, Developers, and QAs. Plus, if you’re all about being open, a great communicator, and a team player you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
What will you do?
- You'll develop new features from ideation to production – for our custom Salesforce solution.
- You'll translate integration requirements into software requirements and code deliverables using modern tech-stack best practices.
- You'll participate in design exercises for future Salesforce use cases.
- You'll evolve our architecture and engineering to support the ever-growing scale of users, features, and data.
- You'll work closely with the business stakeholders.
- You'll test the stability and functionality of the application by writing business-related unit tests.
- You'll be responsible for refactoring our legacy Apex code, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs.
We might be a match if you…
- Bring at least 3 years of experience delivering business applications on the Salesforce platform.
- Possess solid, hands-on Apex coding skills.
- Have worked as a Salesforce Administrator, particularly with modern Sales Cloud.
- Understand Flows well and can apply them effectively.
- Know your way around Salesforce transactions, their limitations, and challenges when designing an architecture.
- Are familiar with tools like GIT and JIRA.
- Enjoy working in a small, focused, and highly efficient team and possess ability to problem-solve high-level software and application issues.
- Have a good command of English (written & spoken) – at a B2+ level.
- Are available in the afternoons - due to collaboration with the United States, evening meetings may occur. Rest assured, we prioritize work-life fit, respect everyone's private lives, and don’t work at night but we still must ensure that communication between the time zones is effective.
You will get extra points for:
- Experience with Omni Channel Routing.
- Experience with LWC (Lightning Web Components).
- Experience working in Agile and CI/CD methodologies (we use Flosum).
