Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, and procurement activities of the dental practice. Maintain current knowledge of the corporate policies and procedures, governmental policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Monitor and evaluate performance of staff, recommending and implementing appropriate personnel actions. Advise management on short-term and long term financial objectives, policies, and actions. Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies. Develop and maintain relationships with banking and insurance to facilitate financial activities. Conduct or coordinate internal audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
