Oversee the operations of steel fabrication facility, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and operational efficiency and profitability. Analyze production costs and cost-saving methods and assess the impact of product design changes on expenditures for management review and action. Develop and establish sequence of operations for fabricating and assembling steel parts or products, promoting optimal resource utilization. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability objectives of finished steel products. Implement standards to ensure adherence to these objectives. Collaborate with management and staff to develop steel production and design standards. Evaluate production and testing equipment for precision and accuracy. Develop corrective action plans based on engineering drawings to enhance efficiency. Recommend methods to improve utilization of personnel, material and utilities. Develop manufacturing methods and labor standards to optimize staff and facility efficiency. Draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace using drafting tools and computer software to maximize operational efficiency. Record engineering data accurately and oversee documentation of production issues. Complete production reports, purchase orders, and maintain equipment lists. Direct inspection and testing activities to ensure product quality control. Implement quality control objectives and procedures to resolve production issues and maximize reliability while minimizing costs. Apply statistical methods and mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards. Adjust workflow schedules to expedite production operations based on established sequences and lead times.
