Job DescriptionHow will you make an impact? The Learning and Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Glaukos by designing and implementing strategic learning initiatives that empower employees, foster continuous growth, and enhance organizational effectiveness. This position will be instrumental in creating innovative learning solutions tailored to the needs of diverse teams and aligning them with Glaukos' mission. As a key member of the HR team, you will champion a culture of innovation, teamwork, and inclusion while serving as a trusted advisor on talent and development strategies.
What will you do? - Instructional Design & Program Development:
- Leverage expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to develop effective, engaging learning programs.
- Create customized solutions when managers identify learning needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee development priorities.
- Translate complex topics into accessible and impactful learning experiences using a variety of methodologies, including e-learning, workshops, coaching, and blended learning models.
- Learning Design & Delivery:
- Collaborate to assess team-specific learning needs and design targeted programs to close skill gaps.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and learning programs to improve leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills.
- Develop communication and marketing tools to increase employee awareness and participation in learning opportunities.
- Talent Management Integration:
- Align learning initiatives with performance management, career paths, and succession planning to support retention and development of key talent.
- Serve as a trusted partner to leaders, helping them identify team growth opportunities and recommend tailored development strategies.
- Operational Excellence & Measurement:
- Partner with the Learning and Talent Operations Manager to optimize systems, streamline processes, and ensure smooth delivery of learning solutions.
- Measure program effectiveness using feedback, data analysis, and key metrics to continuously improve outcomes and impact.
- Provide regular reports to leadership, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
How will you get here? - Bachelor's degree required; advanced certification in instructional design or learning development a plus.
- 8+ years of experience, with 6+ years in Learning & Development, focusing on instructional design, adult learning, and program facilitation.
- Proven ability to create engaging, scalable learning solutions that address diverse employee needs.
- Hands-on experience with learning management systems (Oracle Learn, LinkedIn Learning, or Percipio preferred).
- Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead training for audiences ranging from entry-level employees to senior leaders.
- Track record of success in identifying learning needs, designing targeted programs, and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills to build trust and collaborate effectively across teams.
