About the Role
I’m hiring a Social Media Specialist & Video Assistant to work in person at my office on Grand Ave in Oakland, CA, minutes from Lake Merritt. This role is for 15–20 hours per week (3-4 days per week) and offers hands-on experience working directly alongside me, the founder. You'll learn a lot and help create content that changes lives.
You’ll also dive into digital marketing theory and execution by working through Gary Vee’s latest textbook, Day Trading Attention, as part of your onboarding. You’ll read the book, study the slides (available at garyvee.com/attention), and then we’ll hit the ground running—quickly, aggressively, and have fun while doing it. We’ll put theory into practice, measure results, and iterate to grow fast.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with me in filming high-quality YouTube videos, including camera handling, set setup, and green screen usage.
-Assist in the creation, posting, and optimization of content for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, Facebook -Reels, and TikTok.
-Write compelling captions and descriptions to engage our audience and drive impact.
-Work with a team of virtual editors and social media managers to execute on content strategies.
-Use high-end video production equipment and technology to create top-tier content.
-Track performance metrics and help optimize content to improve engagement and reach.
Qualifications
-A desire to learn and grow quickly in digital marketing and video production.
-Experience in social media management, digital marketing, or video production is preferred but not required.
-Familiarity with filming equipment and basic production techniques (preferred).
-Strong writing and grammar skills for captions, descriptions, and posts.
-An organized, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.

Details
-Location: In-person at our Oakland office on Grand Ave., 5 minutes from downtown and near Lake Merritt. This is not a remote position.
-Schedule: 15–20 hours per week, flexible within 3-4 days per week.
-Pay Rate: $25–$26 per hour.
