Regional Director, Fuel Quality will manage all aspects of fuel quality and performance for a defined geographic region in the U.S. Scope of work includes gasoline, distillates, marine fuels, NGL's, biofuels, and aviation fuels for the entire value chain, from the refinery through the end user.
Location: West Coast - CA
Responsibilities May Include: - Provide fuels technical support to all PSX functions - Refining, Midstream, Commercial, and Marketing (including customers).
- Conduct quality reviews of PSX facilities on a routine basis against current quality practices.
- Provide technical guidance for remediation of off-spec fuel throughout the distribution system.
- Optimize technical fuel quality monetary issues.
- Reduce product liability risk throughout the distribution value chain.
- Administer product specifications and build consensus around future changes.
- Optimize refinery, terminal, and pipeline fuel additive rates and/or technologies.
- Represent the company in various industry organizations such as ASTM.
- Identify and document best practices and share across regions.
- Terminal butane blending technical support.
- Regional and industry interface travel approximately 25%.
- West Coast assets covered - 2 refineries, Rodeo Renewed, 8 terminals, various pipelines/marine docks, and ~1500 fuel outlets.
Required Qualifications: - Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering
- 5 or more years of experience in petroleum: lab, refining, chemicals, pipeline or terminal operations
- Results oriented with the ability to optimize results

Preferred Qualifications: - Fuel laboratory experience
- Good working knowledge of vehicle, equipment, and engine technologies
- Experience in product blending
- Basic knowledge of fuel regulatory requirements
- Product distribution knowledge and experience: pipeline, rail, truck, marine

This position is eligible for the Phillips 66 geographic differential pay program. Details and terms to be conveyed in offer of employment.
CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $133,200.00 - $168,000.00 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
