JOB DESCRIPTION: In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the success of our projects by managing key financial aspects, ensuring seamless execution, and fostering effective communication across teams. You will collaborate closely with project managers, accounting supervisors, stakeholders, and other departments to streamline processes and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, network drives, email, and internet browsers, as well as moderate knowledge of Excel. Experience with financial management/accounting software, such as Deltek and/or Salesforce, is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide project accounting support, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and financial reporting.
• Set up new project records in accounting software and network folders.
• Review client and sub-consultant contracts and set up contract parameters (Budgets, billing type, billing terms, etc.) in the accounting software.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain and update project-related records in Deltek and Salesforce systems.
• Coordinate with project managers and teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
• Monitor project budgets and assist with cost analysis to ensure financial goals are met.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, reports, and other deliverables.
• Handle administrative tasks related to project documentation and compliance.
• Participate in special projects and provide additional support as needed.
• Communicate with clients and sub-consultants regarding invoices, budgets, and authorization.
• Attend regular staff meetings and project meetings when applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
• 3+ years of project accounting or coordination experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• Experience with Deltek and/or Salesforce is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Benefits
This is a full-time position with some potential for overtime. We offer a competitive compensation (commensurate with the candidate's level of skills and experience) and benefits package after 90 days.
