Job SummaryThe Business Applications Manager ensures that information systems are kept current and align with the company's strategic direction and business objectives while maximizing the value and productivity of new and developing business tools and systems. The manager works with the leadership team and third parties to develop and gain benefits from current and future software and business systems. The role involves articulating business/operational needs, developing specifications, aligning projects, reviewing vendor offers, and ensuring that software development meets needs, is on time, on budget, and implemented to full benefit. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and supervises the Business Applications Specialist.
Pay$80,000 - $95,000/annually, based on applicable years of experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Regularly meet with key stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, understand their business needs, and help them leverage applications to complete their jobs efficiently.
• Act as the product owner for IT initiatives, managing the product lifecycle from conception to delivery.
• Become thoroughly knowledgeable about the technical aspects of assigned applications.
• Lead software implementations and test systems to ensure they meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain IT product roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
• Be responsible for training and handbooks for agency-used applications, ensuring that necessary training and support are delivered to end users.
• Gain expert knowledge of and analyze business processes to leverage business applications, increasing efficiencies within the business unit/program.
• Serve as the liaison between business needs/wants and system vendors.
• Perform regular testing and quality assurance of business applications and modules to ensure they are kept current, updating procedural documentation as needed.
• Provide end-user and developer application support and assistance for assigned software.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues.
• Generate data exports for various projects, including but not limited to, internal and external requests for information/data when requested.
• Maintain security roles and policies within the business system applications to ensure staff have the appropriate access to complete their job responsibilities.
• Participate in staff training and attend regular meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Services, or a related field and four years of experience in the areas listed below, OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Human Services, or a related field and two years of experience in the areas listed below.
• Possess a combination of experience in the following: understanding of software design and programming principles; serving as the subject matter expert for business-wide enterprise solutions; general knowledge of database tools and design (SQL); experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe products; experience with BI tools; time management skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently and collaboratively; experience with software implementations; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
Physical Requirements• The ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, sit, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, climb flights of stairs, and lift/transfer a minimum of 15 lbs.
• Ability to see, hear, listen, speak clearly, and have motor coordination, grip strength, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to handle repetitive motion.
