The Associate Product Reliability Engineer ensures and continually improves the quality and reliability of landscape irrigation products and/or lighting products.

Essential Functions:
- Assists the development team with robustness designing through the active participation in Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and by developing accelerated component level test methods.
- Ensures test methods are aligned with test intent such as functional testing, environmental testing, and reliability testing. Reviews in-house testing and compares results to the field test results. Supports reporting similarities and discrepancies to the Product Manager, Engineering Team, and Quality Assurance Team.
- Assists retrieving product performance information from Contractors, Product Managers, Regional Sales Managers, the Customer Service Team, and the Technical Services Team. Analyzes product failures based on geography, environmental conditions, and product usage. Analyzes field failures, returned product, and customer complaints. Assists comparing warranty guarantees to product issues and reporting all correlations.
- Conducts head-to-head testing of Hunter products against "best-in-class" by product line (Rotors, Sprays, Valves, and Controllers).
- Supports the coordination of Hunter product installation with Contractors throughout various geographical regions for the purpose of performing Beta Field tests. Travels to Contractor sites, conducts installation, and trains Contractors on installation and operating procedures.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Ability to travel 20% - 25% of the time throughout the United States.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $75,650 - $96,000
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
