Orbis is seeking a Senior TAK Integration Specialist with deep expertise in TAK architecture, data formats, and integration methods to serve as a strategic subject matter expert (SME) guiding the team toward key integration and interoperability outcomes. This role is designed for a candidate who can help define the roadmap, establish best practices, and provide technical oversight while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure TAK systems are securely and efficiently integrated across Command and Control (C2) environments. While hands-on technical contributions may be required at times, this position is more consultative and advisory, focused on shaping the direction of TAK implementations, optimizing data flows, and ensuring seamless cross-platform communications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong problem-solving mindset, deep technical knowledge of TAK messaging protocols, and a strategic approach to interoperability across government and defense partners. This position requires collaboration across cross-functional teams, government agencies, and partner organizations, ensuring that the TAK ecosystem operates effectively while maintaining security and mission readiness.

Deep technical expertise in TAK architecture, CoT data formats, and TAK Server configurations.
Experience with military, government, or emergency response operations involving the TAK eco-system.
Desired Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of STANAG, CoT (Cursor on Target), and MIL-STD data formats.
Familiarity with edge computing and cloud-based TAK deployments.
Previous experience developing secure cross-domain data solutions.
Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles for TAK and C2 networks.
