We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for the safe and timely material movement involving inventory and order pulling at Maywood location.
Responsible for helping to organize & safely store hardwood material
Help load Saroyan trucks Helps pull work orders as needed
Make sure assigned forklift is maintained and in safe operating condition
Creates a safe work environment involving forklift operations/material storage.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE 1) Safely handling, moving, and storing materials at Maywood location with a forklift
2) Safely unloading and loading trucks
3) Efficiently and accurately pull work orders as needed
4) Maintain forklift by checking vehicle vitals & notifying superiors when maintenance required
5) Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and physical exam to be considered for this role

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, move and handle up to 50 pounds frequently to stack and load finished products for transport to other departments or stock.
- Ability to stand/ walk for an extended period of time
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, squat, and climb.
Safety Requirements: - Required to wear steel toe shoes
- Required to wear eye protection
- Forklift certified
- Trained on proper lifting techniques. When lifting 50 pounds it is required to use the buddy system. - Required to wear safety gloves - Safety belt is recommended when repetitive lifting is required.
