The Senior Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define strategic business, financial, and operational requirements. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll take a more holistic view of these needs, considering long-term goals and organizational impact.
Summary of the role
The BSA will play a key role in supporting the ongoing D365 F&O implementation, specifically focusing on lab management systems and other ERP-related initiatives. This position is critical to helping scale and grow their internal IT capabilities and ensure a successful rollout of the new ERP system.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project F&O
- Experience with ERP implementations in a growth-focused IT environment
- Industry experience inAEC (Architectural, Engineering, and Construction)is a strong plus(this is where they have been struggling is Industry)
- ESSENTIAL AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.
- Identify and resolve complex system incidents, requests, and maintenance.
- Lead functional design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
- Plan and lead the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware solutions to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Operations team to prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization in alignment with short term and long term goals.
- Partner with Information Security to ensure necessary security and controls are defined and implemented.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems.
- Create specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to development.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

Minimum Experience, Education, and Technical Skills:
- Formal Education:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science or 10+ years equivalent related IT experience.
- Knowledge & Experience:10+ years’ experience in analyzing business and system requirements to design and implement enterprise business applications and solutions.
- 8+ years’ experience with enterprise business applications, includingMicrosoft D365 (Mainly F&O)Customer Experience, Power BI, SSRS and, or other enterprise level applications.
- 5+ years’ creating and maintaining documentation related to systems and processes.
- 5+ years’ identifying and resolving issues related to systems and processes.
- Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
- Experience utilizing Agile methodologies Azure Dev Ops (ADO) preferred.
- Experience with professional services and / or the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred.
- Experience with lab information management (LIMS) / data collection systems, geographic information systems (GIS) / geospatial operations (GO) is preferred.
