As an HR Generalist at dnata Catering, an innovative catering company, your role is integral to the success of the organization's human resource’s function. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR duities, ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes and providing support to both employees and management. Your friendly and approachable nature will enable you to build strong relationships with employees, serving as a trusted point of contact for their HR-related needs. You will be involved in all aspects of employee lifecycle management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding. Your creative problem-solving skills will come into play as you address employee concerns, promote a positive work environment, and develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention. Additionally, your smart and analytical mindset will enable you to analyze HR data, generate reports, and provide insights to inform decision-making. Your role as an HR Generalist will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Overall, as an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining talented individuals, contributing to the overall success and growth of dnata catering.

You Will
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, and track all payroll, PTO, Sick, and time clock adjustments within ADP.
- Recommend and implement employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship
- Manage and track internal and external complaints from notification to resolution.
- In collaboration with ER, conduct workplace investigations. Support employees/managers with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise.
- Oversees collective bargaining process, grievances, and arbitration and ensures adherence of the CBA.
- Responsible for overseen the delivery of new hire onboarding and meeting all pre- and post-employment requirements such as employment paperwork, lockers, employee badges, uniform, process E-Verify.
- Oversees the delivery of training and development experiences of a variety of soft skills, food safety, and leadership opportunities.
- Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, sexual harassment, food safety, safety, DOT and other skills or compliance opportunities.
- Partner with the HR team, Operations to identify and understand workforce needs; may be required to actively participate in recruiting union hourly employees and support recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforce adherence to requirements, advise management on needed actions.
- Manage all accident-related reporting and claims (WC and Vehicle).
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Coordinate employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to improve employees’ experience.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package.
You Have
EDUCATION: bachelor’s degree in business management, Human Resources, or related field highly preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required with a minimum of 5 years of Generalist experience.
- Experience of working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines
- Previous experience working in a Food Manufacturing, hospitality, and Union environment.
- Proficient with excel spreadsheets, formulas, custom reporting, interfaces, and data transfer.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
