Accountable for managing the processes and procedures related to the period- and year-end financial reporting, serving as the internal expert on US GAAP accounting and related technical accounting matters, and overseeing the management of the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Accounting and Store Accounting functions. Responsible for overseeing the preparation of and issuance of the Company's annual financial statements.
**This role requires 4 days in office and is located in St Louis, Missouri**ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a US GAAP accounting expert and proactively identify the need for and provide technical accounting consultation and implement necessary actions, processes or procedures, as needed.
- Monitor and analyze operating results, and oversee the production and distribution of accurate and timely financial information on a period, quarterly and annual basis.
- Proactively identify necessary accounting processes for the application of new accounting pronouncements and/or to address operational needs, and implement and monitor related internal controls.
- Manage the routine preparation of certain financial planning, analysis and forecasting functions for areas of accountability
- Manage various projects and facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams and respond timely to management requests
- Train, develop and mentor direct reports to ensure they are challenged and meet their full potential.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree
- Other Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, with Masters in Accountancy or MBA preferred. Must be a Certified Public Accountant or relevant experienc.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years or more
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge about US GAAP and the ability to research and reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting matters.
- Working knowledge of routine and non-routine accounting processes and the requirements for an effective internal control environment.
- Technology proficiency in use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and effective feedback to individuals at all levels.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
