Our growing litigation firm is looking for a new legal assistant and case manager to join our team.
Experience and knowledge in workers' compensation is required.
We are a close-knit team with an excellent track record that advocates for a select group of injured workers who have sustained catastrophic injuries on the job.
Duties include, but are not limited to: scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations; preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records; preparing DORs (including electronic filing via EAMS and JetFiler); maintaining and organizing case files within our management software (making sure information is correct and updating as needed); fielding incoming telephone calls and heavy client communication as our Case Managers are the primary point of contact for the clients.
Must have excellent telephone manners and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc. and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will be a quick learner with a positive attitude in order to become better advocates for the clients.
You will have an opportunity to learn all aspects of workers' compensation litigation as we go to hearings/trials often to win for our clients.
Applicants MUST have prior law office experience or relevant education/training in workers' compensation.
