Part-Time Sushi / Roll /Cook Wanted (Burbank, CA)
We are looking for a (mostly) skilled and (reasonably) passionate Sushi /Roll /Cook to join our team at a sushi restaurant in Burbank. This is a part-time position, working approximately 30 hours per week over 6 days.
Job Responsibilities Include:
-Prepare and roll sushi, maintaining consistent quality and presentation standards.
(The restaurant is a full-service dining facility with online orders as well.)
-Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
-Maintain a clean and organized work station
-Follow health and safety guidelines in the kitchen (we teach)
Requirements:
-Prior experience as a sushi chef or cook is preferred- but teachability is prioritized.
-The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Strong attention to detail and a passion for food quality and hygiene
(we deal with raw foods here- absolutely no licking fingers and preparing food)
-Must be a team player with good communication skills- (no throwing each other under the bus or whining)
Must be available to work 6 days a week
Currently we offer:
-Base pay + tips (tip % varies by hall staff but kitchen staff is currently satisfied with current setup)
-Friendly work environment - we don't micromanage but consistency and quality must be maintained.
