Overview
Part of the onsite senior leadership team that identifies and solves for location-specific workforce challenges, needs and events to ensure a positive employee experience. Sustains/drives employee experience strategy specific to the location for the purpose of attracting, engaging, and retaining in-country talent; advises the Centralized HR COEs on opportunities to strengthen the local employee experience position. Oversees the day-to-day work completed by in-country/regional HR Team and an HR shared service center to ensure the business receives the proper HR support required.
Responsibilities
- Executes on the business’ defined people strategy by ensuring the in-country HR organization is meeting service level expectations.
- Directly leads an HR shared services team that provides functional support to both in-country and global HR functions.
- Identifies HR needs and opportunities that impact the collective in-country workforce and works with the Centralized HR COEs to find solutions. Understands the local talent market; Partners with the HR COEs to deploy best practices for employer practices to remain competitive locally to retain, develop and attract talent.
- Ensures actions, policies and processes defined at the Corporate/Centralized level are sound and being followed locally. Serves as an expert on in-country employment compliance rules, regulations. Responsible for ensuring compliance of local employment laws and regulations and practices are followed.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement within the department that improves productivity and/or reduces costs by applying new approaches to existing processes and resolving any discrepancies. Maintains the department’s business continuity plan to ensure minimal disruption of work and critical services.
- Assists on-site leaders with executing key company-wide events and local change management initiatives (ex. org changes, merit cycle, engagement action planning, talent assessments).
- Provides consultation and advisement to HR COEs on in-country best practices and cultural norms that need to be considered into HR programs and policies.
- Acts as a mentor to all local HR team members, including those who report into other functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or similar - Required
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or similar - Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in HR experience in Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits HRIS, HR Compliance, Project Management.
- 5 years of experience in in Business Operations Management. Efficient in defining and improving work processes. Delegating tasks, organizing, and maintaining employee schedules and conducting evaluations in work performance.

- Leadership (providing direction), excellent communication and relationship building, customer focus, delivering results, managing multiple projects. Ability to guide and support a team and mentor staff members.
- Both written and verbal communications.
- Comfortable presenting and communicating complex and sensitive topics to diverse audiences, including occasionally C-Suite executives.
- Able to play a key role in consensus building and conflict resolution with partners both within and outside of the HR organization.
