Equipment Specialist (Temp-to-hire, $26-$32/hr., 91311)
Full-time, temp-to-hire, onsite, equipment technician role with a well-established medical device company! As an equipment specialist, your function will be to apply advanced skills, knowledge, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation. Assist in the development, execution, and testing of new and existing products for manufacturing engineering, to meet the current and future production volume, quality, OHS and cost requirements.
This position will train on 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), then have the option to move to 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) if desired.
Please note that the company will be moving from Chatsworth, CA to Calabasas, CA in April/May 2025.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm).
• The work site will be moving from Chatsworth, CA to Calabasas, CA in April/May 2025.
• At least a diploma or a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in mechanical / electrical / mechatronics / bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience in a high volume, manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the medical manufacturing industry preferred.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Good machine electrical knowledge.
• Ability to Read, Interpret and Understand Engineering Drawings and Schematics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Working in a team environment.
• Coordinate work efficiently.
• Communicate clearly at all levels.
• Recognize and develop maintenance systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and perform breakdown maintenance activities.
• Perform equipment/tools/fixtures set up and configuration.
• Perform fault finding analysis on equipment.
• Identify, report, and coordinate repair for equipment problems.
• Maintain a work environment that complies with OH&S, 5S and GMP requirements.
• Work with related departments to track equipment or tooling faults/performance and implement preventative maintenance or repairs schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Document and record maintenance activities as required for equipment.
• Perform other tasks as requested to assist the business reach and maintain its goal.
