Your Role
As a certified payroll specialist, you will ensure all payroll report submissions adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws and requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Monitor certified payroll for both internal self-perform projects and external subcontractors.
- Maintain all necessary forms for the project including DAS-140, DAS-142, Exemption letter, DAS-7, Contractor’s authorization to Certify Payrolls, Fringe Benefit Statement, CPR, Statement of compliance, Statement of Non-Performance, Contractors Monthly Report to Trustees, Skilled and Trained Workforce.
- Complete certified payroll preparation, review, and XML reports for upload through LCP Tracker labor compliance software.
- Maintain company labor compliance log with daily updates.
- Upload CPR and documentation to various labor compliance reporting programs such as Prism Compliance Management, LCP Tracker.
- Perform periodic audits on projects to ensure compliance.
- Monitor labor compliance emails and identify urgent issues.
- Review and verifies payroll records, fringe benefits, employer training contributions and apprenticeship certificates to determine compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Review all public works special requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a certified payroll specialist, certified payroll administrator, labor compliance specialist or in a similar role.
- Ability to work on-site; this is not a remote position.
- Eligibility to work in the United States, full-time (Monday-Friday) with overtime as necessary.
- Knowledge of Prevailing Wage & Davis Bacon laws
- Experience using LCP Tracker
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to discreetly handle sensitive, confidential, and time-sensitive duties while maintaining a solid customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
- Experience with payroll software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT NECESSARY
- Associate’s degree or higher (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Experience working with Viewpoint Vista software
- Previous work in the construction industry
