Team Overview:
The Marketing Services team supports multiple business units at GAF and a number of affiliated businesses, supporting multiple brands and product categories through innovative marketing solutions including branding, marketing campaign development, and tactical execution.
Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Creative Director - GAF Residential, the Senior Copywriter, will focus on development of GAF marketing communications, collaborating with GAF product marketers, Creative Services designers, print production, video producers, and other management to drive creative development, brand consistency, and quality control across multiple product lines. Their work will impact every marketing channel and medium, from print to web to video. They'll be expected to think strategically, be able to build comprehensive, insight-driven campaigns, collaboratively champion great ideas, and carry concepts through to execution.
Essential Duties:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Immersing themselves in the brand voice and fundamentals of the GAF product line
- Creating high-quality, accurate content for print and digital collateral, emails, web, video and other other writing opportunities as presented
- Providing quality control for externally-facing written communications that impact the GAF brand, as opportunities present
- Ensuring the brand voice, positioning, and product messaging are properly represented and differentiated from the GAF brand
- Developing campaign concepts and messaging toolkits for the wide variety of GAF products and services

- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing-related field
- 7+ years experience writing for a broad range of media preferably in an agency or in house marketing team.
- Strong results-driven portfolio that showcases memorable and effective creative for a wide variety of audiences across media including print, digital and video
- Proven quality control skills, including exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret creative briefing documents and effectively translate them into compelling marketing deliverables.
- Facility for absorbing and understanding technical concepts.
